Goodbye 2014

Also this act has come to an end. The curtain has fallen, no applause. No flowers. Only silence.
Dear 2014, you have not been the best year of my life. Definitely not. But you have been a year of teaching. One year open doors and others closed. Others beaten in the face, like when you go away after an argument. A year full of tears. All that a man can pay, I left you. Several times I hit bottom but, slowly, taking up to breathe properly, I have been able to go back and re-emerge from the vortex that made me sink. I was able to (re)take the strength that distinguishes me and for that I thank you. Your classes, in some way, helpful.
You have been the year of dead branches. I cut several. And to think that I have not a green thumb!
You have been the year that many times I even thought of giving up, drop everything and everyone. But then I never did, because you will also be a tough year (to be fine, you know I'm a Princess) but I'm not a quitter and fight until the end, until I win. I do not like to lose, you should have understood. But, there is a but, somehow you've managed to redeem yourself, giving me little joys and smiles that have meant so much.
You began as Dante's Inferno, making me lose the right way, and you've evolved as his Purgatory. Now I wait only Heaven... 2015 take care to surprise me. Surprise me with many smiles, that perhaps, after this dark forest, I need them too!

Anche questo atto è giunto al termine. Il sipario è calato, niente applausi. Niente fiori. Solo il silenzio.

Caro 2014, non sei stato l'anno più bello della mia vita. Decisamente no, non lo sei stato. Ma sei stato un anno di insegnamenti. Un anno di porte aperte e altre chiuse. Altre ancora sbattute in piena faccia, come quando si va via dopo un litigio. Un anno pieno di lacrime. Tutte quelle che un uomo può versare, te le ho lasciate. Più volte ho toccato il fondo ma, piano piano, riprendendo a respirare adeguatamente, ho saputo risalire e riemergere da quel vortice che mi aveva fatto sprofondare. Sono riuscita a (ri)prendermi la forza che mi contraddistingue e per questo devo ringraziarti. Le tue lezioni, in qualche modo, sono servite.

Sei stato l'anno dei rami secchi. Per la gioia di Paolo Fox e del suo "non credete ma verificate", ne ho tagliati parecchi. E pensare che non ho nemmeno il pollice verde!

Sei stato l'anno in cui tante volte ho anche pensato di mollare, di lasciar perdere tutto e tutti. Ma poi non l'ho mai fatto, perchè tu sarai anche stato un anno tosto (per essere fine, sai sono una Principessa) ma io non sono una che si arrende e lotta fino alla fine, fino a quando vince. Non mi piace perdere, dovresti averlo capito. Ma, c'è un ma, in qualche modo hai saputo riscattarti, regalandomi piccole gioie e sorrisi che hanno significato tanto.

Sei iniziato come l'Inferno di Dante, facendomi perdere la retta via, e ti sei evoluto come il suo Purgatorio. Ora aspetto soltanto il Paradiso... 2015 pensaci tu a sorprendermi. Sorprendimi con tanti sorrisi, che forse, dopo questa selva oscura, me li merito anch'io!
