Ve lo avevo accennato poco prima che il 2017 giungesse al termine, ed eccomi qui a raccontarvi questa bellissima esperienza. Quest'anno ho brindato al 2018 in un modo del tutto nuovo: a bordo di Corsica Ferries, con una mini-crociera di Capodanno a Tolone. Un modo per concludere l'anno in allegria e spensieratezza.
La crociera è l'incarnazione di una vita piacevole, l'ultima espressione di un mondo alla nostra portata. Un mondo a me nuovo ma che mi ha sempre affascinato.
I had mentioned it just before 2017 came to an end, and here I am to tell you about this wonderful experience. This year I toasted to 2018 in a completely new way: on board of Corsica Ferries, with a New Year's mini-cruise to Toulon. A way to end the year with joy and carefree.

Siamo partiti nel pomeriggio del 30 dicembre quando la Mega Andrea ha lasciato gli ormeggi del porto di Livorno per raggiungere Tolone, con scalo tecnico a Bastia, in Corsica.
Appena imbarcati ci siamo sentiti subito in vacanza, avvolti da un clima festoso e da un'atmosfera natalizia.
La nostra cabina Lusso al ponte 6, era calda ed accogliente, e le grandi vetrate sul mare ci hanno permesso di godere dello spettacolo della natura durante la navigazione.
Una volta sistemati in cabina abbiamo raggiunto il ristorante La Veranda per il pranzo e successivamente, dopo un caffè e qualche chiacchiera al Bar Panorama insieme ai nostri nuovi compagni di viaggio, ci siamo preparati per l'aperitivo (sì, in crociera si mangia sempre e davvero bene!) al Dancing Palace e la cena, seguiti da uno spettacolo di animazione, musica dal vivo, discoteca e tante, tante risate.
We left on the afternoon of December 30 when the Mega Andrea left the moorings of the port of Livorno to reach Toulon, with a technical stop at Bastia, in Corsica.
As soon as we boarded, we felt immediately on holiday, surrounded by a festive and Christmas atmosphere.
Our Luxury cabin on deck 6 was warm and welcoming, and the large windows overlooking the sea allowed us to enjoy the spectacle of nature while sailing.
Once settled in the cabin we reached the restaurant La Veranda for lunch and then, after a coffee and some chat at the Bar Panorama with our new travel friends, we prepared for the aperitif at Dancing Palace and dinner, followed by an animation show, live music, disco and lots of laughs.

La mattina seguente, il 31 dicembre, la Mega Andrea ha attraccato nel porto di Tolone, in Provenza, e dopo una deliziosa colazione, con un ricco buffet dolce e salato, abbiamo avuto modo di visitare il ponte di comando e di conoscere il comandante, per poi avventurarci alla scoperta della città tra mercatini natalizi, viuzze colorate e palazzi neoclassici.
La sera, a bordo, si è svolto il Veglione con cenone, brindisi, balli e festa sino alle prime ore del mattino.
La prima giornata di questo 2018 è iniziata all'insegna della dolcezza, tra coccole, pain au chocolat e frutta fresca, ed è proseguita in maniera lenta godendo della calma e del silenzio della nave per scoprirne tutti i suoi spazi (Spa, piscina, sala giochi, ristoranti, bar...). Una passeggiata lungo il porto, con il vento ad accarezzare il viso, ed un pranzo in uno dei tanti bistrot scaldati dal primo sole di gennaio, per poi tornare a bordo nel tardo pomeriggio e ripartire, dopo cena, verso Bastia ed infine Livorno.

Non era la prima volta che salivo a bordo di una nave Corsica Ferries ma è stata la mia prima crociera e, nonostante il mare non proprio calmo, si è rivelata un'esperienza meravigliosa, assolutamente da ripetere!
